Our 7 month old cavachon is such a sweetheart. We had a tough time naming him, but after about 50 names, the name Buster came coming to the top. Buster is a Buster, a perfect fit for his name.

Since our little girl is into Tinkerbell, we named our Cavachon “Pixie” and it suits our pup well.

My cavachon is Baxter – he is almost 5 now. I am glad to see that this breed is becoming popular. When I first got Baxter from the breeder, no one had heard of a cavachon but they all fell in love with him! He is such a happy, playful, smart, loving little man! He is all white and looks more like a bichon – in fact, most people think he is and sometimes I just go with it because he is so friendly we meet lots of people on the street and I get tired of explaining “cavachon” :-)

I know exactly what you mean! I had never heard of a Cavachon before we got Kasey and most people I know had never heard of one either.
Your description is perfect – they are happy, playful, smart loving AND adorable on top of all that. Kasey brings such joy to our family.

We named our dog “Buttercup”. But we all have gotten used to calling her “Butters”. She seems to answer to it real well.

    Jerri Replied:

Butters is a cavachon and weighs about 9 pounds.

Our Cavachon is mostly black and white with a little bit of brown on her ears. The first time we saw her she was just this cute little fur ball in the pet store. We immediately fell in love with her. Not sure how the name exactly came to us be we named her Cupcake…maybe because she is so dang cute we could eat her up.

Our cavachon is Bailey, because he’s the color of Bailey’s Irish Cream. My grand daughter wanted him to be named “Stitch”, and his funny little noises sound like Wicket in Star Wars – so the full name os “Bailey Stichwicket”. (we just call him Bailey though). The sweetest, easiest dog ever.

I know it’s long winded, as everyone tells me, but I named my cavachon Artemis (usually called Artims) like the greek goddess of the moon and hunt… We got her at night time and all you see her do is run through the bushes (:

Well, you’ve got my pups name on the list! We call him Charlie! Pretty obvious but it suits him perfectly. We had NO intentions of buying a pup but after laying eyes on him he had a name within minutes and I knew we were doomed! He’ll be turning one this month and I’ve loved every minute of having him. =)

We named our little man “Miko”. Short for Mikito “The Prince”. I loved the name because of the royal meaning. It fits with his King Charles mix. He is amazing with our small grand babies. They adore him, and he can not get enough of them either! He fast became everyone’s best friend with his people loving personality.

My cavachon’s name is Serjio! We also call him “The Sheriff” because he’s our watchdog, always looking out our windows. Everyone on our street knows him from seeing him in the window or playing outside. He’s the little man of the house and he is AMAZING! He’s named after:
Serj Tankian from System of a Down (that’s the “j” in his name)
Sergio from Jane’s Addiction’s “Jane Says”
Dear Sergio a Streetlight Manifesto song
& Sergio Leone the Director of the Good, The Bad, & The Ugly
He’s our rock star sheriff & he’s out first dog ever! He just turned 3 March 31st & we can’t picture life without him

My sweet, lovable, smart, spunky cavachon is named Eliana. I saved this name for the birth of a girl; however, I was blessed with two boys! Eliana means ‘God has answered my prayers’ in Hebrew and He has. She captured my heart from the moment I picked her up from the breeder. All I can say is Cavachons Rule!!!

    [Reply]

    Kasey Replied:

So happy for you, your family, and Eliana! It sounds very much like she is lucky to have you, too! Send us a picture to post.

p.s. I also was blessed with two boys! They are grown now and it was a joy watching them become great young men! We had so much fun along the way.
Kasey is the new “kid” in our house and I certainly agree with you – Cavachons Rule!!!

We named our little boy pup, Chucky Freeze, since he was half Cavalier King Charles and half Bichon Frise. We chose to spell it “Freeze” because the day we got him there was freezing rain and snow. He was a rescue from a puppy mill.

    Lori Replied:

Now I get the “Freeze” part of his name – I love it!

My surprise Christmas present this year was a 10 week old Cavachon in peach and white. Adorable. I named him K.C. (KaCee spelled out) as his breed is part of King charles and he will be and has been treeated like a prince since he has been living in our home. He has been the best therapy for my severe depression of losing a best friend pet about 18 months ago. we are extremely busy now with this energetic ball of fire and laughs.

    Lori Replied:

K.C will continue to bring new joy to your like every day! Congratulations on your new “ball of fire!” I am so happy for you! I am sorry about the loss of your last pet but glad that your KC is helping you now,.

p.s. our Kasey came to us as “Casey,” we changed the spelling because of the King Charles link also :)

Our two year old Cavachon’s name is Sparky. We call him Sparky, Spark, Spark Man, Sparkler, Spark Plug, Sparkster. All of our pets have had names related to airplanes, since my husband builds and flies small planes. We have a four year old yellow lab – Cubbie (as in Piper Cub), we had a chocolate lab that lived to be 14 we called Pete (as in a pitot tube on an airplane) my son Steven now has our 10 year old border collie, Maggie (as in magneto) and we had a cat named Hobbs (as in a Hobbs meter – and because of our son, who was definitely a Calvin!)

    [Reply]

    Kasey Replied:

Love it! I especially love all of the endearing nick-names for Sparky!
I am usually called Kasey or “the Kase man.”

We named our cavachon Norah. Most people think it is because of Norah Jones…but really I love the movie “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” Totally random I know but the name fits her so well. She is about 12 weeks old beautiful, energetic, and funny.

We named our Cavachon Snickers, he is mostly Carmel colored with white paws, underbelly and tail. He is very rambuctious but is the most loving pup I’ve ever seen. They are such a great breed. We plan to get a girl puppy when he turns a year and have already picked out Sadie for her name.

We kept the name the breeder gave out little precious “gem.”
She is as sunny as anything living, loves to sniff the flowers
outdoors and has a fantastic temperament. She loves people,
other dogs, children and mostly us.
We feel truly blessed to have found this little ray of sunshine
and she is a little treasure!

We decided to go with “Cosmo” for our Cavachon because of the similarities he has to Cosmo Kramer from Seinfeld. Whenever he greets us at the door, he slips and slides all over the wood floor, just like Kramer. Our Cosmo is an absolutely amazing dog, very smart, loveable, and, most of all, fun. He is just about to turn 9 months and has already picked up many tricks and is completely housebroken.

    He’s the best!

    [Reply]

    Kasey Replied:

I love that name! I have wood floors, too, and much prefer playing “fetch” on carpet! Those wood floors are certainly slippery!

Cosmo sure sounds like he is happy and having fun with his family – just like me! Cavachons are the best!
