Thank you for posting my picture..I live in the UK just outside of central London in a lovely village on top of the North Downs..I am just 6 months old and told I am too clever for my own good! I have a nice life with my owners..My walker/carer is the daughter/carer of a lovely lady (she gives me way too many reward treats!) who is 87 and thinks I am the bees knees. My mum was a tiny Bichon Frise and my Pa was a tri-coloured Cavalier KCS. I am a happy bunny and I like to think I am in charge..however, I am beginning to realise life is so much more fun for everyone if I let my human folk think they are in charge! Anyway, nice to be on here. X

My little dude simon just turned a year old, and he is a loyal companion! He is laying on my belly sleeping as I type actually. Being full gown he is only 9 pounds so he is a little guy. He loves people and actually barks a decent amount when he wants attention. A super smart guy, he loves things that fly and always has his eyes on the sky for birds and bugs to chase! He’s also really vocal when he’s playing, not barking but tons of little dog sound. But he is a bit defiant and not the best listener always, nothing too terrible, just a bit punky but he getting better. He can stay home a lone for a good amour of the day and not pee or poop in the house usually, and is always so excited to see me. He is currently shaved all over and you wouldn’t even believe he’s a cavachon, especially after looking at all these other pups. His little face is adorable short. I love him, so loyal with a boat load of personality! So much fun.

Any recommendations for food for their cavachon? My Toby who is 3 years old is awfully choosy and seems to go off food all the time!

We have the same problem and I have the same question as you but unfortunately, there’s no responses yet. For the meantime, i am giving him a grain free food and put a little bit of yogurt into it. Hope this helps and maybe somebody would share what their puppy eat.

I buy canned chicken, rinse it to take salt off, mix with no salt green eans, and add some sweet potatoes. New started this because she had some bowl problems and the vet said to give chicken and rice. She loved it and we could not get her off it. I added vegetables because they seemed healthy. Vet said to. Just give her a good doggie vitamin each day and a dentistick and that would be ok.

    Hi Margaret
Just seen your post. We give our Alf (see pics) a raw chicken drumstick every evening. He can always be found sitting at the fridge door at 6pm! He has a small portion of Bakers dry dog food to supplement this a little later.
    He’s a very happy Cavachon!
    Kind regards

Does anyone know of a cavachon breeder in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. I lost my first doggie, SaSha in October. She was a shitzu that I loved with all my. I will always miss her but I miss having that type of unconditional love.

We got our little guy from Century Farms and are very happy. I picked him up and saw both the mother and father. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat! Rex from Century Farms is the one that suggested litter box training. You must use dog litter. Charlie uses the litter box or goes outside. Of course he is the smartest cavachon!

A Havanese is also a great option! They are very sweet and love to play. Havanese are good with other animals such as cats, bunnies, and other dogs. We have a big fish tank and a lizard. He seems to be fine with both! I hope this was helpful, and good luck!

All puppies bite while they are teething….and those teeth are needle-sharp! Chew toys and training help, but the real answer is when they get all their adult teeth fully in. I read different ages for this, 6 months to a year, but my Cav is 4.5 months old, has lost approximately 6 baby teeth so far, and LOVES chew toys. Puppies take patience, but they’re so much fun…this biting is no way indicating adult disposition!

Does anybody know any good breeders in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or Michigan? This will be our first puppy and we want to make sure we have the right dog from the right breeder.
    Thanks a lot!

AFTER A LOT OF RESEARCH, WE GOT OUR PUPPY FROM BRIARTHORN DESIGNER PUPPIES. THEY ARE NOT A PUPPY MILL I CALLED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND CHECKED ON THE GOVERNMENT AGENCY THAT REGULATES LICENSED BREEDERS. THEY ARE A LOVELY FAMILY WHO RAISE THEIR PUPPIES IN A LOVING AND CARING ENVIRONMENT. WE ADOPTED FINLEY IN APRIL AND BROUGHT HIM HOME IN MAY. HE IS THE SMARTEST, SWEETEST BOY AND THE MOST EASILY TRAINED PUPPY EVER. MARK AND KIM BEGIN THE POTTY AND CRATE TRAINING IN THEIR HOME. THEY ARE LOCATED IN KENT OHIO, WE ARE IN NEW JERSEY AND HAD OUR PUPPY FLOWN IN. I WAS A WRECK–THE PUPPY WELL HE ACTED LIKE HE DID THIS ALL THE TIME. MARK AND KIM ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. I WOULDN’T GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR A CAVACHON.
HOPE THIS HELPS! AND GOOD LUCK!
