Has anyone purchased a dog of any type from Briarthorn Designer Puppies in Akron, Ohio? This is going to be our first dog and we are exploring our options (As we are from Michigan).

    Hi Everyone:
My wife and I were lucky to have our Cavachon Baxter adopt us and make our house his forever home.

We adopted Baxter from Raintree Kennel in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Baxter in the 3 years since his adoption has been great. He is a very friendly dog and gets along well with other dogs in the area (he has several friends). He does have a bit of a “Napoleon Complex” when it comes to strange dogs.

    Regards,
    Bill

    Hi
My cavachon is a huge chewer. I would like to fill her kong toy with something besides the kong spray bottle. Any suggestions? I am concerned about stomach problems so I want something safe and natural.

Been looking for a cava poo chon. Seems to only be one breeder in the country. Any one, know of any others?
Our alternative is a cava poo or cava chon… When I read about names on the web site I then found a rather disconcerting review of Century Farms. Does any one else know of a problem with this breeder or how they compare to Burrow Kountry Kennels? I once got a pup from a mill, unwittingly. He was the most vicious biting puppy. I finally found out about this place, and was able to return the puppy, but it was a terribly challenging experience.
Would really appreciate help from anyone that can steer us in the right direction. Thanks so much.

I just bought a cavashon from century farms. I went there in person and it was a pleasant experience! My puppy is adorable, loving and is going potty outside already and we got her just a few days ago!

I love my cavachon! He is so sweet! He loves to cuddle up on the couch with us and just be as close to you as possible. He does shed a little but nothing major. I just love him.
His name is Comet. He’s 17 months old and about 10 lbs.

Hey all! I have a four month old male Cavachon. Best dog ever. Looking to breed him in the coming months. I’m in the northern part of CT. Anyone in the area interested?

Hi Matthew – You do know that you do not get the same qualities from breeding a cavachon to a cavachon. You must breed a cavalier to a bichon to get the non shed and the look of the cavachon. For some reason you lose some of those qualities breeding cavachon to cavachon. If you do a little research you can find out al kinds of info on the internet.

Hi Chris, I went to the Rosegate Kennel website to look at the puppies and I noticed that they didn’t have any prices listed. Do you know how much they charge for their cavachons?

Hi Lori, I”m looking for a Cavachon for my parents and like many on this blog am struggling to find the right breeder. I see that you got your sweet Kasey from a breeder in Iowa. I’m currently looking at a breeder in Iowa and wondered if it is the same breeder. Did you happen to get Kasey at Century Farm Puppies? Just curious the name of your breeder since you seemed to be so pleased with the outcome! Thanks for your help.

    Lori Replied:

Hi Jana, it was not Century Farms and I really do not know anything about them. The breeder that I got Kasey from is unfortunately no longer breeding Cavachons. It was a husband and wife and sadly the husband passed away. The wife did not continue breeding dogs on her own.

We visited this breeder today and the place was filthy. The outdoor “cages” had several inches of feces in them and the dogs were “playing” in it. The porch and the entry way to their kennel was also covered in feces. We decided it was not worth the chance that the puppy would have some sort of illness, worms, etc. We’re still looking, and hope to find the right puppy soon.

Farley is 2 1/2 and still loves to chew. He loves Nylabones! We also have the black Kong for extreme chewers. He destroyed two of the red ones!
