  1. So excited for you, Nanci! What a great gift and cute name! I am sure Smokey and Hollie will come to love each other quickly – Cavachons are pretty adaptable, although Smokey is probably a bit used to being the main focus of attention!
Send us a picture of your new family member when you get a chance!
    Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!

  2. We will be receiving our new Cavacon baby girl on the 20th. All set up in the livingroom! We named her “Hollie” since she is my birthday/Christmas present. I only hope it doesn’t take long for our 1 1/2 year old cat, “Smokey” to warm up to her! Going to be visiting here a lot!

  3. Our Cavachon is Daisy also. We named her that because she came from the Foxglove Farm and we wanted a flower name for her. I can’t imagine her being named anything else but Daisy!

  4. Those are all cute names…..my only thought is that Whoopie sounds like it would be a girl puppy’s name (so sorry if you picked that!) Send a picture after you name him so we can post it!

  5. We are trying to decide on a name for our puppy…Its either going to be Yosemite, Whoopie, Cliff or Charlie. Any opinions?

He is light tan and white and has rather short hair for a Cavachon.

  6. Tashi is my first ever dog! I am so lucky to have picked a Cavachon – she is smart, loving, friendly and sweet natured. She even loves the cat! I wanted to call her Dash after Queen Victoria’s Cavalier spaniel, but the kids said that was a boy name and somehow she ended up with a softer sounding version…
She does a funny thing with her soft toys when we vacuum – she picks each one up by the scruff and drags them out to the garden. There are about half a dozen large toys as well as several smaller ones – once they’re ‘safe’ she runs in to attack the vacuum. No one taught her this, it is very funny to watch.
We love her dearly, I cannot imagine our home without her. She makes us all very happy because she is always happy to be with us. Pure love!

  7. If Luna is eating, peeing, pooping and playing- she is probably fine! Puppies grow at different rates and even puppies that are from the same litter can be different sizes. Think about human babies as they grow – you cannot really compare one to another.
Talk to your vet next time you are there to ease your concerns. If you are really worried, give him/her a call. In the meantime, enjoy your puppy!

You are so lucky to have two Cavachons. I have thought about it, but have not made the jump to a second pooch in the house yet! If I do, it will be another Cavachon for sure!

  11. We have to wonderful cavachons Bailey called after Irish Bailey Cream due to is colouring and Callie she is white with small dots of honey

  12. We got our wonderful Cavachon when she was 6 weeks old and we had a difficult time deciding on a name. Our two choices were Bella and Daisy Mae. We finally agreed on Daisy Mae and I feel that it perfectly fits her and her bubbly personality!

  13. My girl is named Sydney. We had 2 goldens named Samantha and Sadie. Guess we just like names beginning with S. I ALWAYS SAY Sydney’s name is bigger than she is.

  22. Hopefully someone will come along that can help you out. The only breeder I have met, and therefore the only breeder that I can confidently recommend is in Ohio (it is not where I got Kasey, but I would have had I found them!)

  23. Where can you find a reputable Cavachon breeder in or around Fairfield County, CT? We had a beautiful Yorkie until 1/27/12 and she was with us for almost 15 years. She was my wife’s baby and she just can’t get over having a house without a dog. She recently saw a Cavachon at a local pet store and has now fallen in love with the Cavachon. I have always heard that buying any animal from a pet store is a bad idea because of potential health reasons. Can you offer any suggestions for a local breeder?

  24. Your comment made me chuckle a little 🙂
How are things going now? Better I hope! Don’t worry, you & Toby will both get used to things! Before you know it Toby will turn into a proper little puppy – minus the horror part!
Even when Toby misbehaves, I’ll bet it is hard to get mad at him because Cavachons are so darn cute!
Send us a picture when you have a chance.

  25. My 13 week old puppy is called Toby and i think the name really suited him.He arrived with us 6 days ago and is a proper little horror. We have so much to learn. We having an intense course on doggy training on sat.

  26. I am so happy with my little Cavachon! I adopted her from an animal rescue last June-a few days after my Bichon, Anastasia, passed away. While looking for a Bichon, I found this little girl named “Annie” that was labeled a bichon mix. I was so thrilled that her name was “Annie” as that was what I called my bichon many times instead of “Anastasia”. She is mostly white with apricot spots on her ears and her back. I knew she had some bichon, but I am so happy to find out that she is a Cavachon! What a loving dog she is! When she greets me, she will stand on her hind legs and wave her paws up and down. What a cutie! It was the very thing I needed to help me through my loss of Anastasia. Finally, I have given “Annie” a formal name of “Annabella” as it seems more regal and fitting of her background. She is my Princess Annabella!

  27. I’m excited for you, too! Best wishes to you and Chloe! Can’t wait to hear about her in March and see some pictures!
Cavachon puppies are the cutest thing ever!
