Do Cavachons Get Along with Cats in the Same House?
Hi,
I’ve been looking for the right breed i could take into my home. I’m thinking about getting a Cavachon. I have two cats already so I was wondering how the breed is around/would react with cats and seeing as it will be my first dog would it be Better to get an adult dog or puppy? Thanks!

I think a Cavachon would be fine with your cats – it’s just a matter of whether or not the cats will be fine with you getting a dog! They sometimes do not adapt well to the addition of a dog in the house.
Whether it would be better to get an adult dog or a puppy depends mostly on the kind of time you have to devote to training your new pet. Puppies require a lot of time and attention. They have to be taught a great deal in the first several months and it can be exhausting keeping up with them! The time that is spent with them when they are young, though, will pay off greatly when they become a well behaved and happy dog!

My Cavachon loves playing with my cats. He and Minerva will play all day. It usually starts with Minerva playing with his tale. They chase each other and wrestle. Never hurting each other tho. It is really hysterical to watch.
My other cat, Bandita, just looks at them with disgust. But she does tolerate it.
